Since March 31st, 2003, Vopak Logistic Services operates a new state of the art loading gantry for Shell Hydro Carbon Solvents (HCS). The name of this new site is VLS OSV. The loading gantry is located near the premises of Shell Pernis in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

The loading gantry has been designed in line with HSE standards and to enable operational efficiency and shorter loading times. The loading gantry is based on top loading and has 6 loading bays, each equipped with a weigh bridge. Loading is done fully covered and with a high degree of automation for safe and easy loading.

The loading platforms enable tank cars and containers safely access via folding stairs and have a 360-degree safety protection while performing loading activities. A vapour extraction and treatment as well as advanced fire fighting system has been put in place.
